January 31, 2025: DA Hochman Announces Father, Fiancée Charged in Death of Four-Year-Old Child in Antelope Valley
Lacie Fetters allegedly murdered her fiancé Andrew Havrella’s four-year-old child on December 3, 2024, in the Antelope Valley
ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA – Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced today that Lacie Fetters, 25, has been charged with murdering her fiancé Andrew Havrella’s 4-year-old son in the Antelope Valley on December 3, 2024.
Fetters and Havrella, 36, are also accused of abusing and torturing the child for the previous seven months, sometime after May 1, 2024.
“Any form of violence against children is reprehensible,” said District Attorney Hochman. “Our office will be their defender and will vigorously seek justice in this case.”
Lacie Elaine Fetters (DOB 3/29/99) is charged in case 25AVCF00094 with one count of murder; one felony count of assault on a child causing death; and one felony count of torture.
Andrew Paul Havrella (DOB 12/29/88) is charged with one felony count of torture and one felony count of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death.
On December 3, 2024, Fetters allegedly assaulted the child resulting in his death. Between May 1 and December 3, 2024, Havrella allegedly abused his child under circumstances likely to cause great bodily injury or death. Both defendants also allegedly tortured the child between May 1 and December 3, 2024.
Fetters’ arraignment is scheduled for March 6 in Dept. A1 of the Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse.
If convicted as charged, Fetters faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. Fetters is being held on $3 million bail.
Havrella’s arraignment is scheduled for today in Dept. A1 of the Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse. The People are recommending the court set bail for Havrella at $1.1 million.
If convicted as charged, Havrella faces a maximum sentence of life in state prison.
The case is being prosecuted by the office’s Family Violence Division and investigated by the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department.
The charges filed in this case are allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
