Jurors today convicted a 28-year-old woman of the domestic violence killing of her husband in their Koreatown apartment, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Misun Yoo (dob 08/22/90), a Korean national, was convicted of one count of second-degree murder. Jurors additionally found true a special allegation that she personally used a knife in the commission of the murder.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen ordered the defendant to return for sentencing on Jan. 28, 2019. She faces a maximum sentence of 16 years to life.

During a 13-day trial, prosecutors argued that the defendant stabbed her husband in the chest after an alcohol-fueled argument.

Deputy District Attorneys Irene Lee and Colby Cano of the Family Violence Division prosecuted the case. The Los Angeles Police Department investigated case BA459696.
