Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey today reminded residents that a judge in San Jose will allow public comment onWednesday on the proposed release of convicted serial rapist Christopher Evans Hubbart to a residence at 20315 East Avenue R in Palmdale.

Santa Clara County Judge Gilbert Brown will allow members of the public to address the court between two to three minutes per person starting at 10 a.m. The court will break for lunch and continue until 4 p.m.

Judge Brown’s court is in Department 32 at the Santa Clara County Superior Court, 190 W. Hedding St., in San Jose.

Hubbart, 63, admitted raping approximately 40 women between 1971 and 1982. Since being designated as a sexually violent predator in Santa Clara County in 1996, he has remained in the custody of the Department of State Hospitals.

District Attorney Lacey has opposed Hubbart’s release back to Los Angeles.
