In-Custody Deaths

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office conducts an independent and thorough review of the evidence in every in-custody death in Los Angeles County in which a law enforcement officer used force. If the officer’s use of force is determined to be within the law, a detailed memorandum is prepared and posted here.
