November 10, 2025: Five MS-13 Gang Members From Los Angeles Found Guilty of Series of Murders, Extortion and Drug Trafficking in Racketeering Case

LOS ANGELES – A Los Angeles federal jury today found five MS-13 Los Angeles gang members guilty in a racketeering case, including a string of killings in the Angeles National Forest and shootings that occurred in the San Fernando Valley from 2017 to 2019. LADA’s Deputy District Attorney Eric Siddall served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the case.

October 29, 2025: David Pearce Sentenced to 146 Years to Life in Prison for Fentanyl Overdose Deaths of Two Women in Beverly Hills

LOS ANGELES — David Pearce was sentenced today to 146 years to life in state prison for seven sexual assaults and the fentanyl-induced murders of Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola and Christy Giles, whose bodies were left outside separate hospitals in November 2021. In addition, he was ordered to register as a lifetime sex offender.

LOS ANGELES – A 38-year-old man from Sacramento County has been charged with 22 counts each of identity theft and grand theft for stealing approximately $150,000 in Los Angeles County public benefits using the names and social security numbers of 22 victims.

October 22, 2025: Atlas Iron and Metal Sentenced to Pay $2 Million, Shut Down Operations Following Felony Conviction

LOS ANGELES — Atlas Iron and Metal Corp. was ordered to permanently shut down its Watts recycling facility and pay $2 million in restitution and fines after admitting to illegally dumping hazardous waste at an unpermitted site. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Terry A. Bork imposed the sentence following the company’s no contest plea to five felony counts of unlawful hazardous waste disposal.
