September 28, 2018: MEDIA ADVISORY: District Attorney to Honor Courageous Citizens in Downtown Los Angeles

On Friday, Oct. 5, District Attorney Jackie Lacey will honor five people who helped stop crimes affecting children in Palmdale, Echo Park and the San Gabriel Valley.

The honorees include a man who discovered child pornography on a co-worker’s phone, leading police to arrest the man and the woman he instructed to sexually abuse her son; three women who came to the rescue of a 3-year-old walking by himself near the 101 Freeway after being neglected by his mother who was under the influence of drugs; and a woman who used what police called “taco-tactics” to protect her children and others from an armed stranger.
