November 5, 2015: Man Sentenced to 53 Years in Prison For Raping Three Women in Long Beach

A 33-year-old man was sentenced today to 53 years in state prison for raping three women in Long Beach two years ago, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

David Paul Stephan pleaded no contest today to three counts of forcible rape and was immediately sentenced by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Gary Ferrari.

Deputy District Attorney Elena Abramson of the Elder Abuse Section prosecuted the case.

Stephan raped his three victims in 2013. On Jan. 30, 2013, he entered into a board and care facility in Long Beach and raped a 59-year-old woman. Stephan entered a second board and care facility on May 4, 2013, and sexually assaulted a 57-year-old woman.

On Sept. 12, 2013, Stephan picked up a 68-year-old woman, who was in a wheelchair, on Long Beach Boulevard, took her down a walkway and raped her. Stephan was arrested on Nov. 13, 2013.

Case NA097357 was investigated by the Long Beach Police Department.
