A Venice Beach hotel owner was charged today with the murder of a transient during a disturbance early Sunday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Sris Sinnathamby (dob 1/27/61) is scheduled to be arraigned sometime after 1:30 p.m. today at the Airport Branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Department 30, in case SA091180. Prosecutors will ask that bail be set at $5 million.
