Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today his office is eagerly awaiting the presentation of cases involving two men linked to a deadly spree of 7-Eleven robberies last week.

Malike Patt, 20, and Jason Payne, 44, both of Los Angeles, were arrested on July 15.

“We applaud the hard work and dedication of our law enforcement partners throughout Southern California who arrested these dangerous individuals,” said District Attorney Gascón. “While the crimes which occurred in Los Angeles have not yet been presented to us, we fully expect that they will be presented to our Office.”

The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a link between the robbery spree and a July 9 homicide in North Hills and robberies that same day at four San Fernando Valley establishments.

“We look forward to working with the inter-county law enforcement community to ensure that justice is served for all those victimized in this string of brutal attacks,” added District Attorney Gascón.
