October 28, 2024: Man Sentenced to Life in Prison Without Parole for Killing Three People and Injuring Two Others in Gardena and Lynwood in 2018

TORRANCE – Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón today announced that Selvin Fabian Salazar was sentenced by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott T. Millington to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering Dolores Sanchez and Francisco Montes, and attempting to murder two others on July 31, 2018, in the cities of Gardena and Lynwood. A fifth victim, Saith Pedraza, was shot by Salazar that same day and died two years later from his injuries.

October 28, 2024: DA Gascón Announces Man Charged with Attempted Murder in Attack on West Hollywood Restaurant Valet, Others

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Dorian Michael Gray is charged with attempting to murder Efrain Zarazua, a West Hollywood Barney’s Beanery valet attendant, during a physical assault as he was working outside of the restaurant on September 14. Gray also allegedly physically assaulted six other victims that same day in the West Hollywood area.

October 25, 2024: DA Gascón Announces Charges Against Man in Sexual Assault, Attempted Kidnapping of 11-Year-Old Girl in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, CA - Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Jose Julian Jaime Jr. is charged with sexually assaulting and attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old girl on October 21 as she was walking home from school in the city of Wilmington.

LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that a hearing on the exoneration and release of Charlotte Pleytez and Lombardo Palacios is set to take place Nov. 1. Each has spent more than 17 years in prison for an East Hollywood murder in 2007 that LADA’s Conviction Integrity Unit determined they did not commit.
