A man was found guilty yesterday of fatally shooting his four children and their grandmother at the family’s home

LANCASTER, CA -- Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón today announced that a man has been found guilty of killing his four children and their grandmother in November 2021.

"I am deeply thankful to the dedicated jury and skilled trial lawyers who tirelessly sought justice in the Germarcus David case,” District Attorney Gascón said. "The emotional challenge of presenting evidence of such senseless loss is immense. Their courage in pursuing accountability and closure for the victims and their family is truly commendable. We are committed to ensuring that Germarcus David will never harm another cherished grandmother or innocent child again. Our hearts go out to the mother of the children, who has suffered the unimaginable loss of all her children and her own mother in this tragic ordeal."

Germarcus Lamar David (dob 3/2/92) of Lancaster was convicted in case MA082345 with five counts of first-degree murder and three counts of assault on a child causing death. The special circumstance allegation of multiple murders was found true. The allegation that he personally used a firearm was also found true along with several circumstances in aggravation.

David is expected to be sentenced April 24 in Dept. A19 at the Antelope Valley Courthouse.

On November 28, 2021, David fatally shot the victims at the family home in the 3500 block of Garnet Lane in Lancaster. The victims are: 51-year-old Erika England.; 11-year-old Namyiah D.; 7-year-old Germarcus D. Jr.; 2-year-old Kayden D.; and 1-year-old Noah D.

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau.
