Conviction Review

The Conviction Integrity Unit conducts collaborative, good-faith case reviews designed to ensure the integrity of challenged convictions, remedy wrongful convictions and take any remedial measures necessary to correct injustices uncovered, within the bounds of the law.

The unit accepts requests for review in which the applicant was prosecuted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, there is a claim of actual innocence or wrongful conviction and the Conviction Integrity Unit determines one or more avenues of investigation that have the potential to substantiate the applicant’s claim or claims of actual innocence and or wrongful conviction.

Opioid Complaints

Providing critical details and documentation about the overprescription and illegal distribution of opioids may help with a criminal investigation and, possibly, save a person’s life. You can help by reporting the trafficking and overprescription of opioids to the District Attorney's Office.

Child Abduction

If you are a legal resident of Los Angeles County and your child has been abducted in violation of a valid custody order, the District Attorney’s Child Abduction Section may be able to help locate your child. Call (213) 257-2600 to make an appointment to meet with an investigator at the District Attorney’s Child Abduction Section, which is located at 211 West Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Bring your current valid custody order specifying that you have primary physical custody of your child or children. Bring photographs of your child and the abductor, if available. You will need to fill out a Child Abduction Questionnaire, which is linked below. It may be printed and filled out in advance.
