A 37-year-old woman has been charged with hurling racial epithets and attacking a Black female security guard at a West Hollywood supermarket parking lot earlier this week, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Kashmire Duran (dob 2/9/83) of Malibu faces one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon, glass bottle, and assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury as well as one misdemeanor count of violation of civil rights.

Arraignment in case SA103331 is scheduled today in Department W30 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Airport Branch. The case was filed yesterday.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, West Hollywood Patrol.
