June 29, 2020: Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Four Women

A Los Angeles man has been charged with sexually assaulting several women on separate occasions dating back to 2016, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Anshul Gandhi (dob 1/10/86) was charged in case BA488145 with four felony counts of sexual battery. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

Deputy District Attorney Melissa Lyons of the Sex Crimes Division is prosecuting the case.

The defendant, a doctor, is accused of sexually assaulting a 36-year-old woman at his apartment in October 2016. Two months later, Gandhi also allegedly sexually assaulted a 31-year-old woman at his apartment following a holiday party.

In July 2018, Gandhi is accused of another sexual assault after bringing a 27-year-old woman to his apartment. The defendant also allegedly sexually assaulted a 31-year-old colleague in December 2019.

Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at $100,000. If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of seven years in state prison.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
