August 5, 2022: Man Charged With Assaulting a Woman in Hollywood Parking Garage
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that his office has filed charges against a man accused of assaulting a woman in a Hollywood parking garage last week.
“Violence not only harms individual victims but also disrupts our entire community’s sense of safety,” District Attorney Gascón said.
“Fortunately, this incident was caught on video, providing crucial evidence that led to the arrest and prosecution of this suspect.
I am committed to working with law enforcement and our community partners to increase public safety, so that anyone living, working or visiting Los Angeles County can feel safe anytime of the day or night.”
Dammion Adkins (dob 2/14/89) was charged in case BA507903 with one felony count each of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury and battery with serious bodily injury.
Arraignment is scheduled today in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.
On July 29, Adkins allegedly knocked the victim unconscious during an altercation and kicked her while she was on the ground.
The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Division.
