July 22, 2021: Ex-Palmdale Teacher Sentenced for Sexual Assault of Student
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that a former Palmdale high school teacher was sentenced today to seven years and four months in state prison for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student.
Anthony Mahari Faaborg, 54, of Palmdale pleaded no contest on June 30 to one felony count each of lewd/lascivious act with a minor 14 or 15 and oral copulation of a minor under 16 as well as three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16.
The defendant also was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Faaborg, who was a teacher at Pete Knight High School, had inappropriate sexual conduct with the student who went to the school but was not in his class, on or between October and December 2019.
Case MA078268 was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
