October 16, 2024: DA Gascón Announces Charges Against Son in Father’s Murder in Mount Baldy in Unincorporated Los Angeles

Emir Abadzic Lowe is charged with killing his father, Christian Lowe, in Mount Baldy on October 12
LOS ANGELES COUNTY - Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Emir Abadzic Lowe is charged with murdering his father, Christian Lowe, in Mount Baldy in unincorporated Los Angeles on October 12.
"Our thoughts are with Mr. Christian Lowe’s loved ones during this tragic time,” said District Attorney Gascón. “We will pursue justice for the victim and ensure that the offender is held accountable for his actions.”
Emir Abadzic Lowe (DOB: 12/10/04) is charged in case 24WCCF00998 with one count of murder.
It is further alleged that during the commission of the crime, Lowe used a knife, and that the crime involved great violence and great bodily harm.
On October 12, at approx. 3 p.m., Abadzic Lowe allegedly stabbed his father with a knife. Christian Lowe was pronounced dead by San Bernardino Fire Department officials, who were called to the scene by a passerby.
Lowe is scheduled to be arraigned today in Dept. 4 of the West Covina Courthouse.
If convicted as charged, Abadzic Lowe faces a maximum sentence of 25-to-life plus one year in state prison.
The case is being prosecuted by LADA’s Family Violence Division and investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
