A 63-year-old woman pleaded no contest today to running over a cyclist and trying to run over two other cyclists in Claremont, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Sandra Marie Wicksted (dob 3/17/57) of Claremont entered her plea to one count each of voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of attempted murder in case KA119465.

Deputy District Attorney Phillip Stirling said Wicksted was immediately sentenced to 16 years in state prison.

On Nov. 3, 2018, Wicksted was charged with trying to run over four people before fatally striking victim Leslie Ann Pray, 54, as she rode her bicycle, prosecutors said.

The case was investigated by the Claremont Police Department.
