LOS ANGELES – A 25-year-old Los Angeles man was charged today with stalking “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, the District Attorney’s office announced.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr., (dob 4-22-84), is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at the Criminal Justice Center, Department 30. Uzomah was charged in case BA364006 with felony stalking Seacrest between Sept. 15 and Oct. 30. In addition, he was charged with two misdemeanor counts of attempted disobeying a court order on Oct. 2 and Oct. 30, said Deputy District Wendy Segall with the Stalking and Threat Assessment Team.

Uzomah was arrested Friday at the E! building in the 5700 block of
Wilshire Boulevard where Seacrest tapes a daily TV show. Uzomah pleaded guilty in September to attacking Seacrest’s security guard outside an Orange County hospital and was ordered to stay away from the radio and TV host.

Uzomah allegedly appeared at radio station KIIS FM in Burbank on Oct. 2 looking for Seacrest.

If convicted, he faces up to four years in state prison.
