LOS ANGELES – A 25-year-old man convicted of second-degree
murder in a 2008 attack on a USC student was sentenced today to 16
years to life in prison.
Judge George Lomeli sentenced Travion Terrett Ford for the Sept.
18, 2008 fatal stabbing of 23-year-old Bryan Frost, said Deputy
District Attorney Kennes Ma. A jury in August convicted Ford of the
second-degree murder of the USC student and found true the
allegation that he used a knife to commit the crime.
Frost was stabbed to death after exchanging words with the
defendant when he and two other USC students passed Ford on a street
near campus. The verbal exchange escalated into a physical
altercation. Los Angeles police said Ford left after Frost was
stabbed and was arrested later.
