LOS ANGELES – A musicians’ manager was charged today with
sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls in 2006 and 2007.
Jeremy Nathaniel Geffen, 35 (dob 12/29/1972), was expected to be
arraigned this afternoon in Los Angeles Superior Court on a 14-count
felony complaint (BA337782) filed by Deputy District Attorney Robin
Sax Katzenstein of the Sex Crimes Division. Geffen, of West Hollywood,
was arrested on March 13 by Los Angeles police detectives.
Geffen was charged with one count each of rape by use of drugs,
rape of an unconscious person, oral copulation of an unconscious
person, oral copulation by anesthesia of controlled substance,
attempted sodomy of a person under 18, sexual penetration by a
foreign object, possession of cocaine and furnishing cocaine to a
minor; four counts of oral copulation of a person under 18; and two
counts of unlawful sexual intercourse. Bail was recommended at $2
million.
According to the complaint, one of the victims was assaulted
between Dec. 1, 2006, and Jan. 30, 2007. The complaint alleged the
second victim was assaulted between Nov. 11 and Nov. 12, 2007.
Los Angeles police announced Geffen’s arrest on Friday. According
to news accounts of police statements, the two girls were assaulted
at nightclubs in the Hollywood area and at Geffen’s home.
Police said Geffen told them he manages music artists through his
firm, Geffen Enterprises.
If convicted, Geffen faces a maximum sentence of at least 20
years in state prison.
