PASADENA – A San Gabriel man was charged with murder today
in connection with the fatal stabbing earlier this month of a
Burbank resident.
Deputy District Attorney Stephanie Mire said 41-year-old Jorge
Ernesto Villalobos, also known as George Villalobo Aragon, was
scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Department D of Pasadena
Superior Court.
Villalobos was charged in case No. GA072508 with one count of
murder with the allegation that a knife was used to commit the
crime. Bail was recommended at $1.02 million.
The defendant was charged with the fatal stabbing of Glenn Giles,
who was in his 40s. The stabbing occurred at Giles’ home in Burbank.
The victim, who reportedly suffered numerous stab wounds, ran from
his home and collapsed and died in front of a neighbor’s house,
authorities said. Villalobos was arrested by Burbank police a day
later.
If convicted, Villalobos faces a possible term of life in prison
with the possibility of parole.
