BEVERLY HILLS – Actress Mischa Barton (dob 01/24/86) was charged today with multiple misdemeanor counts stemming from an alleged drunken driving incident last December.

Barton, who is charged in case No. 8BV00439, faces one count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, one count of driving while having a 0.08% or higher blood alcohol, one count of unlicensed driver and one count of possession of marijuana 28.5 grams or less.

On Dec. 27, 2007, Sheriff’s deputies from the West Hollywood station detained Barton after seeing her vehicle straddling two lanes of traffic and then witnessing her failure to signal when making a turn, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputy-In-Charge Steven Katz of the Beverly Hills Branch Office said Barton is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at Beverly Hills Superior Court, Division 2.
