A New Jersey woman pleaded no contest today to hacking the email account of an associate of actress Selena Gomez, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Susan Atrach (dob 7/17/96) of Ridgefield Park, N.J., pleaded to one felony count each of identity theft and network intrusion in a negotiated plea agreement.

She was immediately sentenced to five years of probation and 160 hours of community service. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Atrach must demonstrate that she is in school or has a job.

The defendant accessed the account of victim Theresa Mingus between August 2015 and February 2016. She then obtained images that she posted online and shared with other people.

Deputy District Attorney Ben Forer of the Cyber Crime Division prosecuted case BA469469.

The District Attorney’s Office’s Bureau of Investigation investigated the case.
