November 9, 2017: Woman Charged with Attacking 79-Year-Old Woman on Bus Bench

A Los Angeles woman was charged today for the alleged attack of a 79-year-old woman waiting on a bus bench, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Vicky Williams (dob 7/2/58) faces one felony count of elder abuse in case VA146258.

Arraignment is scheduled today in Department 66 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Metropolitan Branch.

On Sept. 12, the elderly victim was sitting with her daughter at a bus stop near Firestone Boulevard and Maie Avenue when the defendant allegedly approached them and began yelling and punching the woman without provocation, prosecutors said.

Williams was found and arrested on Nov. 7.

If convicted, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of four years in state prison.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Century Station.
