A Valencia man was charged today for an alleged road rage attack involving a BB gun in Stevenson Ranch, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Guy Shirley said Cory Allen Flenory (dob 4/12/86) is facing one count each of mayhem and vandalism over $400, and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Case PA080684 also includes the allegation that he used the BB gun as a deadly weapon and that he has a 2005 felony conviction in Tulare for carjacking, robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The felony complaint also includes one count of injuring a spouse for an unrelated incident on May 5 which also involved a BB gun.

On May 17, Flenory shot one of two victims in the eye after they attempted to confront him over almost colliding with his vehicle at a Walmart parking lot, the prosecutor said. The victim suffered permanent damage to her eye.

The defendant was combative upon arrest and kicked out the rear passenger window of a sheriff’s patrol car, Deputy District Attorney Shirley added.

Bail was set at $1,275,000 at a hearing today in Department S of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch. Arraignment was continued to June 10.

If convicted as charged Flenory faces multiple life terms in state prison.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Santa Clarita Valley Station.
