May 30, 2018: Son Charged with Fatally Shooting Father

A Redondo Beach man was charged today with killing his father during a dispute at their home, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Vincent Maxwell Finocchio (dob 9/30/98) faces one count of murder and allegations of using a shotgun in the killing, which caused great bodily injury and death.

Arraignment was scheduled today and continued to June 29 in Department 4 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Torrance Branch.

On May 27, the defendant allegedly shot his father, Frank Finocchio Jr., 46, in their Redondo Beach home, prosecutors said.

If convicted as charged, Vincent Finocchio faces a possible maximum sentence of 50 years to life in state prison. Bail is set at $3 million.

Deputy District Attorneys Allyson Ostrowski and Jenna Franklin are assigned to case YA098309.

The case remains under investigation by the Redondo Beach Police Department.
