August 29, 2014: Singer CeeLo Green Pleads

Singer-songwriter CeeLo Green pleaded no contest today to furnishing ecstasy to a female in 2012, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, entered his plea to the one felony count of furnishing a controlled substance as charged in case BA417464.

He was immediately sentenced by Superior Court Judge Mark Young to three years of formal probation and ordered to complete 360 hours of community service. He also must complete 52 AA/NA meetings.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorneys John McKinney and Stacie Gravely.

Green was ordered to return on March 2, 2015 for a progress report in Department 52.
