A 38-year-old public safety instructor pleaded no contest today to having sexual contact with a student, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Alice Kurs said Delvon Christopher Jackson entered his plea to one felony count of lewd act upon a child.

Jackson faces a three year prison sentence at a hearing scheduled for tomorrow, May 7, at Department H of Los Angeles County Superior Court, Pasadena Branch.

Between Oct. 1 and Oct. 14, 2013, Jackson, who was a Regional Occupational Program instructor at Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, engaged in sexual acts with a 14-year-old girl on school grounds, Kurs said.

The case was investigated by the Glendale Police Department.
