April 30, 2014: Man Pleads to Sexually Assaulting Female Metro Bus Rider

A 21-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman aboard a Metro bus pleaded no contest today, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Sarah Ballog said Kerry Trotter pleaded no contest to felony sexual battery and a misdemeanor count of indecent exposure.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James Dabney is schedule to sentence Trotter on May 21 in Department E of the Airport Branch.

The prosecutor said Trotter sexually assaulted the female victim after they both boarded a Metro bus at La Cienega and Jefferson boulevards on Nov. 7, 2012.

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Bureau.
