October 31, 2018: Man Convicted of Sexually Abusing Girls in Claremont

A Claremont man was found guilty today of sexually abusing two girls ages 12 and 14, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Babette Huley said a jury found David Dean Lonigro (dob 8/31/65) guilty of three counts of lewd act upon a child and two counts each of oral copulation of a person under 16 and sexual penetration by foreign object.

Sentencing for Lonigro is scheduled for Dec. 3 in Department P of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Pomona Branch. The defendant faces more than 14 years in state prison.

The abuse happened between Jan. 1 and Dec. 30, 2007, for one of the victims. The second victim was abused between Jan. 30 and Feb. 29, 2016, the prosecutor said. The defendant had access to the victim through family connections, the prosecutor added.

Case KA115301 was investigated by the Claremont Police Department.
