September 7, 2018: Man Charged with Inglewood Murder of Friend’s Boyfriend

A 41-year-old man was charged today with killing his friend’s boyfriend at her Inglewood home, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Maurice Ledon Marshall (dob 10/1/76) of Los Angeles faces one count each of murder, possession for sale of heroin and possession for sale of methamphetamine.

Case YA098848 includes allegations that Marshall used a handgun in the murder.

Arraignment is scheduled today in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Inglewood Branch.

Marshall allegedly shot Jesse Andrew Lynn, 56, during a confrontation on Sept. 2, prosecutors said.

The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 50 years to life if convicted as charged. Bail is set at more than $3 million.

The case remains under investigation by the Inglewood Police Department.
