November 20, 2019: Man Charged with DUI Crash That Killed Two Teen Brothers

A 20-year-old motorist has been charged with being under the influence when he crashed into parked cars, causing his vehicle to flip over in Winnetka, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Pablo Roman Trujillo Carrasco (dob 7/7/99) of Glendale faces one felony count of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated with an allegation of causing death to more than one victim.

Trujillo Carrasco pleaded not guilty to the charge yesterday and is scheduled to return on Nov. 27 to Department F of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch.

The incident happened on Nov. 17, near the corner of Parthenia Street and Sunny Brae Avenue. The defendant’s passengers, Cesar Perez, 19, and Louis Perez, 16, both died in the crash, prosecutors said.

If convicted as charged, Trujillo Carrasco faces a possible maximum sentence of 11 years in state prison.

Case PA093813 remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division.
