August 27, 2015: Man Charged with Domestic Violence Murder in Burbank

A Hesperia man was charged today with stabbing his girlfriend to death inside a Burbank home, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Timothy Aguilar Andrade (dob 1/7/87) faces one count of murder with a knife-use allegation in case GA096966.

Andrade is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Department 1 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Burbank Branch.

On Aug. 23, Andrade allegedly killed Brandi Carrasco, 35, by stabbing her in the neck inside a bedroom of a house located in the 1900 block of Richard Street, where they were both staying, prosecutors said.

The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted as charged.

Prosecutors are recommending bail be set at more than $1 million.

The case remains under investigation by the Burbank Police Department.
