Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced that Dillon Klincke (dob 6/15/91) was charged today for a daylight home-invasion robbery of a 71-year-old woman in Beverly Grove earlier this week.

“Violent home-invasion robberies shatter a person’s sense of security in the place where they should feel the safest. They also generate widespread fear that can traumatize entire communities,” District Attorney Gascón said. “My office’s Community Violence Reduction Division is working to hold accountable the person responsible for this attack. Our Bureau of Victim Services is ready to assist with counseling and other services to the survivor.”

Klincke was charged in case BA508315 with one felony count each of first-degree residential robbery and residential burglary, person present with the special allegations of personally inflicting great bodily injury, personal use of a firearm and committing a crime against someone age 65 or older.

He is expected to be arraigned today in Department 30 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

On August 17 at about 2:15 p.m., the defendant is accused of breaking into a home in the 6600 block of W. 5th Street and pistol-whipping the elderly victim. Klincke allegedly stole some items and fled the area. He was arrested later that day.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
