A 51-year-old man accused of sexually molesting several female family members was convicted yesterday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Babette Huley said the jury deliberated for two hours before finding Juan Hernandez (dob 6/20/62), of Hacienda Heights, guilty of one count of continuous sexual abuse and four counts of lewd act upon a child in case KA103289.

Hernandez is scheduled to be sentenced June 26 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Pomona before Judge Robert M. Martinez. The defendant faces a maximum sentence of 60 years to life in state prison.

The prosecutor said Hernandez sexually molested four underage family members at various times between March 1999 and July 2007.

Authorities were notified about the sexual abuse and the defendant was arrested Sept. 26, 2013 and held on $4 million bail.

The case was investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Bureau.
