September 4, 2019: Former Student Athlete Guilty of Sexual Assault

A jury found an ex-college student guilty today of sexually assaulting a woman at the California State University, Northridge campus last year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Deputy District Attorney Julie Kramer said Davis Moreno-Jaime, 20, of Loma Linda was convicted by the jury of one felony count of forcible rape.

Sentencing is scheduled on Oct. 18 in Department N of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch. The defendant faces eight years in state prison.

According to evidence presented at the trial, Moreno-Jaime, who was a student athlete at CSUN at the time, sexually assaulted one woman in January 2018.

Case PA091406 was investigated by the California State University, Northridge Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, Devonshire Division.
