Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that former Los Angeles police officer William Rodriguez was sentenced to six years in prison after he was found guilty in June of forcibly raping a woman while he was off-duty in 2015.

My office is committed to holding those who cause harm accountable and providing unwavering support for survivors as they navigate the criminal legal system.  We also want to acknowledge the hard work of the investigators and prosecutors who worked on this case.”
