The District Attorneys of Alameda, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego and Santa Clara counties today released a two-part Zoom podcast to provide resources and hope during the pandemic to victims of domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse and sexual assault.

During the current COVID-19 crisis and the ongoing shelter-in-place orders, victims and survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse and elder abuse may not know where go or where to find help. District Attorney’s offices throughout the state are ready to provide needed services, assistance and guidance for crime victims and survivors.

“During this emergency, I am reaching out to victims of sexual and domestic violence who may feel even more isolated and alone,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey said. “I want to encourage people to break the silence and report abuse. Today, I am wearing denim, along with others in my office and throughout California and the world, to raise awareness about the devastating impact of sexual violence on our community.”

In part one, District Attorneys Nancy O’Malley (Alameda County), Jackie Lacey (Los Angeles County), Anne Marie Schubert (Sacramento County), Summer Stephan (San Diego County) and Jeff Rosen (Santa Clara County) share vitally important information regarding victim’s rights and how their offices are working to protect victims and provide them with resources and services during the shelter-in-place order.
