CORRECTION: Farias scheduled to be sentenced to probation.

A dog walker in Palos Verdes Estates pleaded no contest today to burglarizing a home that he could access, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Nephi Henderson, 36, of Hermosa Beach entered the plea to one count of first-degree residential burglary and was immediately sentenced to two years in state prison.

His co-defendant, Zulma Lourdes Farias, 20, of Hermosa Beach pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree residential burglary.

Farias is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 29 in Department 42 of the Foltz Criminal Justice Center. She is expected to be sentenced to three years formal probation and ordered to complete a court reentry program.

Henderson used a key given to him by a family so he could walk their dog. He broke into the house and burglarized it along with Farias, prosecutors said.

Case YA096663 was investigated by the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.
