Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today a national search for an expert in the field of victim services and trauma-informed care to lead the office’s Bureau of Victim Services.

“This new director will bring trauma-informed care to crime victims throughout Los Angeles County as they embark on the journey to becoming survivors,” District Attorney Gascón said. “My goal is to provide crime victims with clinical services that will help them through the healing process.”

“I want to thank the Board of Supervisors for authorizing this crucial position and for strengthening victim services for all residents of Los Angeles County by increasing the number of victim services representatives in my office,” District Attorney Gascón said.

The director will be responsible for leading, planning, organizing and evaluating the operations of the Bureau of Victim Services. This leader will implement innovative, groundbreaking programs to further evolve and grow victim services in the District Attorney’s Office.

Victim services representatives are available to assist victims in several languages. Services are provided free of charge and there is no legal residency or citizenship requirement.
