After a comprehensive investigation into allegations of sexual assault against Guillod, charges will not be filed

LOS ANGELES — District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman announced today that after an extensive review of the evidence by the Sex Crimes Division, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has determined that the Office is unable to prove sexual assault allegations against David Guillod beyond a reasonable doubt.

The allegations involve deeply troubling and concerning behavior, and we empathize with the pain and trauma the accusers have experienced throughout this long investigative process. Reporting sexual assault takes courage, and we recognize the strength of the women who came forward to tell their stories in this matter. While we are unable to pursue charges in this case, our hope is that the example of these women will inspire victims of sexual abuse to seek support and report abuse as soon as possible.

The District Attorney’s Office is mindful of the challenges victims face in coming forward and reporting crimes of this nature, and we commend the courage of those who do. Please know that our decision in this matter does not undermine the seriousness of the allegations, but instead reflects the high legal burden our office faces in proving criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office remains committed to tirelessly and compassionately seeking justice for sexual assault victims and holding offenders fully accountable whenever legally possible.
