Three gang members have been charged with breaking into an Inglewood home and shooting three people, one fatally, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

Brandon Perez aka Bad Ass (dob 1/5/94), Raul Carlos (dob 6/16/78), both of Inglewood, and Alejandro Garduno aka Lil Ghost (dob 11/22/92) of Los Angeles each face one count of murder with special circumstance allegations of murder during the commission of a burglary and murder to further the activities of a criminal street gang.

Arraignment for the three defendants was scheduled yesterday but was continued to April 19 in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Inglewood Branch.

Perez, Garduno and Carlos also are charged in case YA097871 with two counts of attempted murder and one count each of first-degree burglary, person present, and possession of firearm by a felon.

On March 20, the three defendants allegedly broke into the home and opened fire on two men and a woman, killing Eric Urias, 25.

The defendants are being held with no bail. If convicted as charged they face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

A decision whether to seek the death penalty will be made at a later date.

Deputy District Attorney Keith Koyano from the Hardcore Gang Division is the assigned prosecutor.

The case remains under investigation by the Inglewood Police Department.
