June 30, 2017: Arraignment Set For Father Charged With Murdering Missing 5-Year-Old Son

A South Pasadena man is scheduled to be arraigned Monday for allegedly murdering his 5-year-old son, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Aramazd Andressian (dob 4/24/82) was charged in case GA087764 with one count of murder. He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Alhambra Branch.

The case was filed for warrant on June 23.

The criminal complaint alleges the murder of Aramazd Andressian Jr. took place on or about April 21. The boy was last seen with his father, who was found unconscious the next day at a park in South Pasadena.

Andressian was arrested in Las Vegas on June 23 and extradited back to Los Angeles County today.

If convicted, he faces a possible maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
