One of two men charged with sexually assaulting an unconscious woman in Glendale while taking photographs is scheduled to be in court tomorrow, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Bryan Lizarraga (dob 11/4/92) of Lincoln Heights faces one felony count of sexual penetration by foreign object of an unconscious victim and one misdemeanor count of sexual battery.

Case GA098443 was filed on March 24. On that day, codefendant Pedro Garcia (dob 5/12/92) of Glendale pleaded not guilty to the same two charges.

Arraignment for Lizarraga is scheduled tomorrow, April 1, in Department 1 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Glendale Branch. Garcia is due back on April 5 in Department 1 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Burbank Branch.

The victim and the defendants were part of a group that had gone out together on March 8, prosecutors said. Garcia and Lizarraga are charged with assaulting the victim while she was unconscious in Garcia’s vehicle after she accepted a ride home from them, prosecutors added.

If convicted as charged, they both face more than eight years in state prison.

Bail was set at $120,000 for Garcia and the same will be requested for Lizarraga.

The case remains under investigation by the Glendale Police Department.
