A Montrose man charged earlier with breaking into the home of actress Sandra Bullock was charged today with possessing an arsenal of weapons, including a half dozen machine guns, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Joshua James Corbett (dob 6/04/75) is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon at the Foltz Criminal Justice Center in Department 30. Prosecutors will ask that his bail be set at $2 million based on the new complaint.

Deputy District Attorney Wendy Segall with the Target Crimes Division, who is prosecuting the case, said an arsenal of weapons was discovered in Corbett’s residence after LAPD detectives searched his home.

Corbett was charged in case BA426151 with 19 felony counts, including seven counts of possession of a machine gun, two counts of possession of an assault weapon and 10 counts of possession of a  destructive device.

Corbett last week pleaded not guilty to stalking and burglarizing Bullock’s West Los Angeles home on June 8.

If convicted as charged in the new case, Corbett is facing more than 12 years in county jail.
