Actor Drake Bell pleaded not guilty today to a DUI charge filed after he was arrested in Glendale late last year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Jared Drake Bell (dob 6/27/86) faces one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol within 10 years of another DUI offense.

Case 6GD00057 was filed on Jan. 6, and it includes allegations of refusing to take a chemical test and that Bell was convicted in 2010 of driving under the influence in San Diego.

The defendant entered his plea through his attorney at today’s arraignment. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Aug. 5 in Department 2 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Glendale Branch.

On Dec. 21, 2015, Bell was allegedly spotted driving erratically on San Fernando Road, prosecutors said.

If convicted as charged, the defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 365 days in county jail.

Bell remains out on his own recognizance after submitting proof that he has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous classes.

The case remains under investigation by the Glendale Police Department.
