Michael Gargiulo

Michael
Gargiulo is a leading authority on elder abuse for the Los Angeles
County District Attorney’s Office. He maintains an active elder
abuse caseload on top of his managerial responsibilities. A deputy
district attorney since 1987, he also presents training programs for
prosecutors, law enforcement, social workers and senior
organizations.
In January 2002,
Gargiulo was named Prosecutor of the Month for his work in
prosecuting the first “cold hit” DNA case in Los Angeles County. In
2004, he received the Outstanding Prosecutor Award from Justice for
Homicide Victims. In 2007, he was recognized by the Los Angeles
County Board of Supervisors for his work on behalf of crime
victims.
He is a graduate of the University of
Southern California and Southwestern University School of Law.
