Pamela Booth

Pamela
Booth began her career in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s
Office in 1985 and quickly gained a reputation as an outstanding
trial lawyer. She is now respected within the office as an
exceptional manager and known throughout Southern California as an
authority on domestic violence and child abuse issues.
After serving as
deputy-in-charge of Pomona Juvenile and then the El Monte Area
Office, Booth was promoted in 2000 to head deputy of the Sex Crimes
Division and later head deputy of the Family Violence Division. In
2006, she became director of the Bureau of Branch & Area Operations
for Region II. She took the helm of the Bureau of Central Operations
in 2009.
She serves as
the co-chair of the Los Angeles County Inter-Agency Council on Child
Abuse & Neglect’s Child Death Review Team. In the past, she has
also served as the co-chair of the county’s Domestic Violence
Fatality Review Team and the chair of the county’s Domestic Violence
Council. Booth is known for her extensive legal knowledge, her
ability to mentor and train young deputies and her excellent working
relationship with law enforcement.
She holds a
Bachelor of Arts from California State Polytechnic University,
Pomona and a Juris Doctor from Western State University. Before she
began her legal career, she served as a San Bernardino County
probation officer for six years.
