May 18, 2015: Move to Hall of Justice Begins; New Phone Listings for Bureaus of Investigation, Administrative Services

Move to the Hall of Justice

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is undertaking the biggest move in its history to the newly renovated Hall of Justice in the Civic Center area of downtown Los Angeles.

Hundreds of employees will move to the historic building at 211 West Temple Street, between Spring Street and Broadway, over the next several weeks.

With the move, many important phone numbers and mailing addresses are changing. The general number of the office, (213) 974-3512, will remain the same.

Please refer to this website’s Office Directory pages for the latest contact information.

The Bureau of Administrative Services and several Bureau of Investigation offices completed the move on May 17.

Phone numbers that have changed include:

Bureau of Investigation: (213) 257-2687
Bureau of Administrative Services: (213) 257-2751
Human Resources Division: (213) 257-2751

Other offices will be moving in the coming weeks. Updates will be posted on this website.

The move marks a return by LADA to the architectural gem that served as its headquarters from the time it was opened in 1926 until the 1970s when LADA officials moved to what is now the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center.

The Hall of Justice sat vacant for almost two decades after the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. In 2011, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a $231 million restoration project.

LADA shares occupancy of the Hall of Justice with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
